Pixar, a company specializing in high-quality 3D computer graphics
is seeking software professionals for positions developing and
supporting software for our RenderMan products.  A position is
currently available for:

    Member of the Technical Staff
    PhotoRealistic RenderMan Development Team

Requirements for this position are:

    BSCS (or equivalent) and a minimum 2-5 years experience develop-
    ing and supporting device drivers and 3D graphics software using
    software development tools under MS-DOS and Unix.  Fluency in C,    
    and experience designing, coding, documenting, and maintaining    
    large software modules is required.  Extensive experience with
    MS-DOS and Unix is required.  Familiarity with MacOS, Windows 3.0,
    and Phar Lap DOS Extender is also desirable. 

    The initial assignment will be to develop, test, release, and
    support MS-DOS versions of Pixar's PhotoRealistic RenderMan
    software.  As part of the RenderMan development group, you will
    evaluate requests for enhancements/new features and develop
    display drivers and graphics software.  This will require using
    a variety of Unix workstations, as well as PC/MS-DOS machines.

    In concert with the Pixar's Customer Support group, you will
    provide technical support for OEM customers by answering technical
    questions and provide backup telephone support, as required.

    Take on individual projects.  Examples: evaluate development tools,
    prototype user interfaces for applications, generate demonstration
    programs, implement renderers and development utilities.   These
    projects may involve MS-DOS, Unix, MacOS, and Windows 3.0.
