As near as I can tell this is a perfectly acceptable place to discuss
MS-Windows software development issues. Once MS ships the 2.0 toolkit to
people there may even be some activity on the subject, at least I hope so.

Nah, probably not. I'm not interested in it, and my guess is that most are
interested in Unix X/NeWs/ Mac OS-A/UX development. Without getting into
Religious issues, MS Windows will not be viewed seriously until say
OS/2 and Presentation Manager are REAL and SHIPPED. The focus for MS sort of
discussions should be better left to any DOS oriented newsgroups. Anyway,
so much for my opinion...

There should be some place for us poor MS Windows programmers to get together.
Since there seems to be no comp.windows.ms or comp.windows.suckers ( :-) )
group, this seems to be the best place. Traffic on the comp.sys.ibm.pc
is too big already.
The reason that I suggest comp.windows.suckers for the MS windows group
is that IBM has started giving away computers (I get a Model 80) to
us in academia who promise to write a Windows program.

Here here! How about an MS windows news group if this is not the place
to post. Any other interest?

Yes Yes Yes... If anyone wants to discuss MS-Windows, I'm all ears.
Any new news group would be fantastic. As far as New-Wave, I'd say
that could all be discussed within the Ms-Windows realm.

But for now... I'm all for MS-Windows discussions. If you have any
questions or comments write them here... and if traffic gets
substantial it may justify a new newsgroup.
