[comp.windows.misc] Thanks

kehyoe@umn-cs.cs.umn.edu (Ong Keh Yoe) (08/21/88)

Thanks a lot,

It seems the mail is unanimous that the best books for programming
with Microsoft Windows are

	for an introduction,
Programmer's Guide to Windows by Durant, Carlson and Yao
				published by Sybex

	for a reference,
		Programming Windows by Charles Petzold
				published by Microsoft Press

I thank one and all who responded for this information. There were
some whom I could not mail my personal thank you letter. I hope they have
not felt under appreciated.

I don't know how my last reponse got attached to this note. Honest,
I only responded once...

My thanks to one and all who responded to my request for
information. The information was very helpful in getting me
started in the right direction for my project.

Is the protocol on the network
	a) to thank answers to requests with a blanket posting,
		like this one,
	or
	b) is a thank you understood implicitly, and that
postings such as this may clutter the newsgroup ?

Anyway, I HAD to send my letter of thanks.
