I am not sure what your interface requirements are, however there is a
company making trackballs for home computers like the Apple/Atari and
it sells for about $40.  That company is:

	WICO Consumer Division

The ad copy I found on p. 249 in Jan. '83 issue of Creative Computing
explains that this is: "Made by the world's largest manufacturer of
controls for the commercial arcades."

These trackballs probably only send out pulses, i.e. they don't keep
an interrogatble cursor position inside them (as some mice do).
