From: Velu Sinha <velu.umcp-cs@UDel-Relay> Does anybody has hands on experience with the Callan Data Systems Unistar 100? From what I hear it is a $9950 - 10% (edu) system running Berkley V7 Un*x. It supposedly comes with a 10mb Winchester (expandable to 21mb), and a 600k 5 1/4 floppy. It also has 2 423 serial, 1 16bit parallel, and Ethernet hardware included. The basic system coms with 256k, 8mhz 68000, C, 68000 ASM. The memory is paged. Anybody no anything 'bout this system? How does the price compare with a comparable SUN? BTW- No graphics. $1450 buys 1024 x 1024 x 2 (planes, ie gray shades) (bit mapped). Thanx in advance... - Velu
