<(Now more than ever, lusting after NeWS) < <How do I get NeWS on a commodity computer? A port to an A1000 is possible - it's been done. Trouble is, the people who did it had an academic source license, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a license with the right to redistribute. Net result is that you can't get a copy of that port (it was 1.0 anyway). [Aren't commercial software licenses wonderfull.] There's also a server for the Atari ST; clients run on Suns/etc over serial lines (at 2400 baud, even). The Grasshopper group has a port for the Mac][, running under AUX. There are ports to various flavors of the IBM-PC clones. I don't recall if it requires Unix or not. Ask in comp.windows.news to get a more complete answer. <mike -- Take a magic carpet to the olden days Mike Meyer To a mythical land where everybody lays mwm@berkeley.edu Around in the clouds in a happy daze ucbvax!mwm In Kizmiaz ...
