NEC Weenies Out on Windows 3.0 Support?

Has anybody out there in NetLand had experience trying to use the
NEC Monograph monitor with Windows 3.0? We recently upgraded
PageMaker, which requires W3. NEC doesn't seem to be in a great
hurry to supply drivers for W3, making our upgrade useless unless
we want to change monitors.
First it's "sometime in July," then "late July," now we get
a reply on their BBS that "we're working on it."
This does not strike me as being particularly responsive. Neither
does it seem to be good business sense.
Summary:
1) I think our next page-size monitor will be made
by someone other than NEC.
2) Any hints or kludges that will help us get this
configuration to work while we wait for NEC to
get its act together will be appreciated.
