Hello, Perhaps this is a "stupid" question, but I honestly do not know the answer and would appreciate any help I might obtain. I am operating remotely on a Zenith 286 PC via a 2400 baud modem with which I connect to our campus network. In one of our on-campus labs, I am able to use an xterm terminal type to create multiple windows on the VAX. My question: Can I do this remotely given that I have only one modem (and phone line)? [I am running Windows 3.0 and use WinQVT as my main communications package.--if it matters] If there is some software which would allow me to do this, is it available from cica or somewhere? Thanks for any help and _please_ don't shoot me if this is "stupid". You've isolated the key problem, it is difficult to MULTIPLEX mutliple sessions across a single RS-232 line using standard home software & hardware. To support multiple session across a single line you need to have hardware and/or software on each end of the line which understands how to combine/extract each of the independent data streams. It doesn't seem likely that the campus side of your connection would support this arrangement. Good Luck, Spero Koulouras
