Hi, We are investigating placing some application packages (Word for Windows, Excel, etc) on our lan (Ungermann-Bass/Lan Manager 2.0). Since we will be installing a copy on the server, each individual workstation will not have the necessary tweaks performed to the WIN.INI file that the normal installation process would provide. Does anyone have any ideas or techniques that you have used that you would care to share? We could have one of our people go around to each pc and perform the update, but it would be great if we could just say "run this file, it will update WIN.INI and add a new program group and icons to your windows configuration". I've called Programmers Connection about Windows-based install program generators (I know they exist for DOS programs), but have not heard back from them yet. Thanks in advance ... Joe.
