I have it from very reliable sources that the coco3 is NOT DEAD. Additionally, there WILL be a new coco3, but it will be a functional equivalent of the existing coco3. Cosmetically similar as well. Tandy just needed to revise the design to be more cost effective. The only thing different I have heard is that there may not be an RF modulator in this unit. What Canada's INTERTAN does is completely independant of what Tandy here does, I am told. Oh - the reason that the hires interface never made it across the border is that it was simply too expensive to get it certified (FCC ?) and pay all the associated fees for a simple $9 part. I don't know what if anything has changed. Please don't ask for more detail, as I honestly haven't got any. I just thought you'd all like to know that you're not 'orphans', at least not for a couple more years.
