[comp.os.os9] OS-9 Vt100 Emulator

cocoiii@shumv1.uucp (John Vestal) (11/20/89)

I would like to get a good Vt100 Emulator for the Color Computer 3 under
OS-9. It would be nice for it to be able to do Zmodem transfers, but I want
the emulation first. I have 512K so memory souldn't be a problem. Any help
would be appreciated.

                              Thanks,
                                 cocoiii (John Vestal)

   I currently know of two VT100 emulators for CoCo3 OS9. A program
called VT100 is available on the CoCo Listserv
(Listserv@PUCC.princeton.edu). It provides a quite usable VT100
emulation. Send a mail message with "index OS9" to that address for
the available list of files.
The other is still under development, but should be available by early
next year. It provides a very thorough emulation. Hopefully, by the time
it is released, some stand-alone file transfers (possibly including ZModem)
will be available for use with it. Watch this space! <grin>

Could someone please send me some detailed instructions on how
to use LISTSERVE? I have tried to use it in the past, and had
very limited success (not just for Coco stuff). Any pointers
on my (obviously bad) technique would be appreciated.
