I have seen numerous posts here asking for any FTP sites that carry OS-9 software. I myself have posted asking the same question. Here are the three traditional answers: LISTSERV@PUCC.PRINCETON.EDU (not actually ftp -- its a mailing list server) prince.white.toronto.edu - has source code for mg2a editor and the third one I don't have with me right now, but its the place in Texas (?) where somebody put the TOPS package up for public ftp. Now, I've repeated what everybody knows, so now here's my piece: Every time I get a new FTP-list, I vaguely recall seeing this one entry, and finally I actually looked it up. Quoted right from the ftp-list available from (i believe) gatekeeper.dec.com (may have been uunet.uu.net): bnlux0.bnl.gov 130.199.128.1 looking for suggestions Has anyone else seen this? WHat I imagine is that perhaps there are a crew of people who are just dying to set up an anonymous FTP site, but they don't have any idea what they want to put on it. Perhaps one of us brave souls should send mail to the system administrator there and tell him of our plight (about not having an FTP site for OS9) and maybe then we could get the ball rolling. Naturally, I don't expect them to just allow us to use their computer out of the kindness of their hearts, but it may be worth a try.... -just a suggestion Russell E Hoffman II rh2y+@andrew.cmu.edu Carnegie Mellon University ---------------------------- "We don't eat computers; don't compute on Apples!" - J.
