Has anyone found or ported OS-9 versions of the following UNIX BSD utilites: tftp, tftpd rsh, rshd, rlogin, rlogind, rcp cpio RAND editor (e) gcc, gas, gld, gdb Has anyone managed to simulate in a general manner the UNIX fork for OS-9? Has anyone heard of a Boot Protocol (BOOTP) for OS-9 or for Unix but with the possibility of loading an OS-9 operating system? (We use mainly Motorola 147S, Eltec E5/E6, Themis and CES processor cards). Has anyone implemented Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (Reverse ARP) for OS-9? Has anyone got a good OS-9 Token Ring driver? Not that I know of--OS-9 systems can't be counted on to have the fancy hardware required to make the overhead of the Unix fork() tolerable. James Jones

It is distrubuted on our systems with tape drives, but cpio can be used for other purposes. It is a good alternative for Microware's FSAVE and FRESTORE.
