We have an os9 system based on a microware 68030 processor and we would like to be able to write files onto a msdos disk. Does anybody out there know of any such utilities or have any information on the relavent drivers? The main change needed to use it is to have the floppy driver use the bytes/sector info in the descriptors, I believe. Also, I recall someone on CIS saying that he'd typed in the shortened C MSDOS file manager from Dibble's "OS-9 Insights" book (available from MW), and that it worked right off (no idea what he did to his driver, tho). Sorry, not much help. - kevin <kdarling@catt.ncsu.edu>

The good news is such utilities do exist, the bad news is that they were written for 6809/os9. They were written by Bob Santy, and are available on both CIS and Delphi. I believe OSK (os9/680x0) has an MSDOS file manager available for just such a task. A call to Microware may be in order.
