Hi !
I've recently installed the TOP software on my OS9 computer.
Nice software package for OS9 ! Nevertheless, I have several
questions about this package. Does anybody have an answer ?
a) UUCP : I could not find the commands uucp, cu and remdbl on
my floppies. Are these commands available and if so how can I
get a copy ?
b) UUCP/SMAIL : Can I use TCP/IP to transfer mail ? If so how
should I configure the system ( system file or other ). Do
I need SMTP and is it available ?
c) INITTAB file in /h0/sys : what is the purpose of the "-s=13"
and the "-p=64" options in the "Field Device" ?
d) MMON : If one logs into my system, starts a shell and hangs
up ( or DCD lost ) it seems that mmon doesn't kill the shell
process. I do not have a DCD connection on my serial port.
How does mmon decide to kill processes ? What should I change
in my configuration files ?
e) MODEMTYPE : what is the structure of this file? Is it required?
If yes how should I add it ?
