Has anyone out there ever tried to route an OS-9 net on ethernet via a CISCO box? We are using this kind of network, but since we connected a CISCO box to our ethernet, we are no longer able to run OS-9 net. It seems that the CISCO box interprets some of the OS-9/NFM packets an tries to respond. Anyone heard of this already? - Marc ,Anyop

I don't know what Microware's protocols look like, but I strongly suspect that they have their own ethernet type code (rather than being built upon a network-layer protocol such as IP). As such, you can only bridge NFM, not route it. If your cisco does not support bridging, you're probably out of luck. Walt Wimer Network Development Carnegie Mellon University (and OS-9/6809 hobbyist)
