I've been getting Microware flyers about thier X windows client software but my distributer has no knowledge of it. Does it have a Microware part number? Is it genuinely available or is it genuine vapourware? Has anyone played with it & if so what did they think? The X-Windows Client Development Pak, allowing you to write an X application for use with an X Server (typically a workstation running X software) is currently available - part number is XDPPINA20EI for OS-9/Sun/Unix BSD hosts, XDPHP9K20EI for HP9000 hosts. Check with your local distributor for pricing information. OS-9/680x0 V2.4 and Internet V1.3 are required for use with this product. The X-Windows Server Support Pak, allowing you to use a VME-based graphics cards in your system chassis as an X Server, will be available shortly. -- ############################################################################## # Bill Sheppard -- bills@microware.com -- {uunet, sun}!mcrware!mwca!bill # # Microware Systems Corporation --- OS-9: Seven generations beyond OS/2!! # ######Opinions expressed are my own, though you'd be wise to adopt them!######
