[misc.jobs.misc] Why not to allow professional recruiters in this newsgroup

jfh@killer.UUCP (The Beach Bum) (02/15/88)

This is a call for votes. This discussion for banning recruiters has
degraded into an argument between the I-wants vs. the I-don't-wants.

What I am proposing is a call for votes to re-define the charter for
misc.jobs.offered. The question at hand is, should professional recruiters
be allowed to post job offers to this group. Or, is offering a job
really a commercial venture. Your vote should be in response to the
question:

'Should non-principals be allowed to post job offerings?'

The rules are as usual, mailed votes only, posted articles don't count.
Whenever there are 100 more of 'yes' or 'no' votes things are over, if
30 days passes before then, well, things could get sticky because the
group already exists. If you wish to make comments, send them along
with your votes.

Please send your votes to:

	DOMAIN:	rpp386!jfh@killer.uucp

And once again, thank you for your support.

- John.
