Below is an approximation of a Dvorak keyboard. I tried to use very simple (ie non-overstrike) graphics so all the mailers may be kept happy. This is intended to look like an IBM 55-key typewriter layout with the letters jumbled. Of the two symbols in each box the SHIFT key generates the left and without the SHIFT the right is used. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! According to Eletronic Design of 24 May 1979, P173 and according to the Dvorak keyboards on the directory assistance positions that Computer Consoles Inc. sells to the former Bell System, the arrangement of the number keys (top row) is as follows: 7 5 3 1 9 0 2 4 6 8 and not 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 as shown in the layout submitted by RSaunders.TCSC%HI-MULTICS@sri-unix.UUCP -- From the Tardis of Mark Callow msc@qubix.UUCP, decwrl!qubix!msc@Berkeley.ARPA ...{decvax,ucbvax,ihnp4}!decwrl!qubix!msc, ...{ittvax,amd70}!qubix!msc
