November 10, 1987 -- Apollo Computer Inc. today introduced the DN3040
(tm) Ruggedized Workstation, an industrialized 32-bit workstation
based on Apollo's Series 3000 (tm) Personal Workstation (tm). The
DN3040 is expressly designed for the factory environment.
The DN3040 monitor has been enhanced for the shop floor with the
addition of a cooling fan and air filtering system. The CPU is housed
in a rugged cabinet, and the keyboard features a vinyl-formed cover.
The system can optionally be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack.
