If you've used the Macintosh version of Microsoft Word, or products like Ventura Publisher on the PC, you are aware that both programs have an option for printing "back-to-front" on printers like the Apple LaserWriter which stack paper on output in the wrong order. Microsoft Word on the PC doesn't have this option. Until now. The program REVERSE is now available to provide this capability for PC users of Microsoft Word 3.x and 4.x WITH POSTSCRIPT PRINTERS. REVERSE is invoked as a keyboard macro from Word 4.x, or it can be run with a little more effort from within Word 3.x. REVERSE works with all the print options except: manual feed, PRINT MERGE, and queued printed. (There's an intermittent bug with Word 4.0's PRINT OPTION PAGES command -- when Microsoft fixes their bug, REVERSE will correctly print a range of pages reversed). REVERSE is supplied on 5.25" floppy disk, is not copy-protected, and does not include sources. It works with PostScript printers attached via parallel printer ports and serial ports. Serial ports are supported for both DTR/CTS and XON/XOFF protocols. REVERSE requires a 320K RAM machine (though you doubtless have this already to run Word), and will reverse print documents as long as 1000 pages within that amount of RAM. It also requires free disk space approximately twice as large as the .DOC file you are going to print. REVERSE can be ordered from: Niche Marketing 7198 Camino Colegio Rohnert Park, CA 94928-3154 (707) 795-7342 The price is $35 (plus 6% sales tax in California). Orders from outside the USA should include an extra $5 to cover foreign air mail and customs nonsense. Sorry, at this time we are not able to take MasterCard or VISA. Our long run of luck with customers not flaking out on payment seems to have come to end, so Niche Marketing no longer ships orders without payment having arrived first. Clayton E. Cramer
