UniSol Job Accounting for UNIX* Systems JobAcct(tm), Release 1.0 June 1, 1988, Culver City, CA -- UniSolutions Associates today released the UniSol Job Accounting System, JobAcct, Release 1.0. JobAcct tracks system resource usage and generates charge reports by user, group, or project code. Charges are itemized by connect time, disk usage, cpu usage, total I/O operations, and total kilo-core minutes used. Users can allocate charges to multiple projects during a terminal session, and review their charge history up to the last available summary report. JobAcct handles variable rate structures, keeps track of prime and non-prime time usage, and allows separate accounting periods for each project code (chargeback code). Charge statements are printed with addresses for direct mailing, and report formats are easily modified via an 'awk' script. JobAcct substitutes the normal UNIX system accounting commands, and is licensed in binary or source format for systems running 4.2BSD, 4.3BSD, or System V. Introductory binary license fees are set at $3,000.00 with source and site licenses also available.
