RABBIT OFFERS 386 PC CONNECTION TO
		  PUBLIC PACKET-SWITCHED NETWORKS

MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA (August 22, 1988) -- Rabbit Software Corporation
today announced a new 386-based PC product to connect PCs to domestic and
international public packet-switched networks. Called RabbitPLUS 386
Netcom II X.25, the new product runs under the SCO Xenix 386 System V
operating system.

Netcom II X.25 performs packet assembler/disassembler (PAD) services (packets
are units of data individually routed through a wide area network) for
asynchronous terminals attached to the gateway PC. It can also function as
a host system that accepts terminal log-ins from the packet-switched network.
Additionally, it provides an Application Program Interface (API) that enables
development of X.25-based application programs.

With RabbitPLUS 386-Netcom II X.25, Xenix 386 facilities for file transfers,
electronic mail distribution, and standard application support are accessible
across the packet network service.

Netcom II I.25 consists of Rabbit's intelligent synchronous communications
adapter board and X.25 software, which together handle all gateway processing.
Because of the intelligent board, which offloads gateway processing from the
386 PC, the new product reduces memory and processing overhead on the gateway
PC, thus providing higher-speed communications.

RabbitPLUS 386 Netcom II X.25 has a manufacturers' suggested list price
of $2,895 for single unit purchases. Quantity discounts are available.
Orders are being taken now with initial deliveries to begin the end of August.

RabbitPLUS 386 is Rabbit's UNIX/XENIX-based product line for 386 PC-to-
mainframe connectivity solutions. Netcom II X.25 is the third RabbitPLUS 386
product announced in 1988. Other RabbitPLUS 386 products include RabbitPLUS
386 3270-SNA and RabbitPLUS 386 3270-BSC.
