Under UTek 3.0, Tektronix 4300 Series users have access to hundreds of software packages written for Sun 3 workstations. The Sun 3 system call compatibility allows a user to just install and execute most software. Of course, hardware dependent programs (eg. those using the Sky Floating Point Chip, or VME), or packages that use NeWS or SunWindows will not run. UTek does not currently support Sun's loader format, therefore you cannot link Sun object code. Tektronix 4320 and 4330 Series 2D and 3D workstation graphics can be supported by X Windows or Tek drivers in the application software. Tek 4310 Series 2D graphics is supported through X Windows.
