I wrote a book detailing all kinds of Macintosh and Apple II shareware and public domain software. I have copies that I am selling for only $5.00. The Mac book is called THE BEST MAC DEAL and is over 200 pages. The Apple book is called THE BEST OF APPLE PUBLIC DOMAIN SOFTWARE and is 340 pages. Both normally sell in bookstores (B. Dalton, etc.) for $9.95. The Mac book has lots of graphics, and both are among the largest and most up-to-date books in their category. The Mac book, having been first released in January '89, is the most current one around.
