The basic program is designed to support independent software and hardware
developers and consultants in developing and bringing to market products
compatible with the SCO System V environment.  Some of the salient features of
this program are:

*  50% discount on SCO Development software and updates. 1 copy per product
   per developer.  SCO developer discounts are only available directly from 
   SCO, through the SCO Developer Sales representative.

*  Online Developer Technical Support 

*  SCO Developer Early Release Programs
   - Open Desktop Developers Program (See below for details)

*  25% discount on SCO training courses and SCO offered books, and 50%
   discount on SCO Training courses on a space-available basis two weeks prior
   to the beginning of the class.

*  Listing in SCO System V Directory of independent vendor products

*  25% discount on SCO Forum Enrollment Fee

*  SCO Developer SoftTech Technical Support program

OPEN DESKTOP DEVELOPERS PROGRAM 

The Open Desktop is a product package for the 386 PC which combines UNIX, NFS,
TCP/IP, an RDBS component and interface, X-based graphical user interface, and
DOS emulation at a very low end-user price.  The Open Desktop Developers
Program enables you to begin development for Open Desktop at the early release
stage.  Major program features are:

*  Open Desktop Development System early release

*  Ongoing updates and development releases when available, including
   upgrade to customer ship product.

*  Six months of ODT specific SCO Online Support 

*  Open Desktop Technical Seminar

*  Private newsgroup service, when available

*  Promotional discounts on hardware from participating 
   Open Desktop OEMs.

HOW DO DEVELOPERS JOIN SCO DEVELOPER PROGRAMS?

All independent software, hardware developers, and consultants with products
and services compatible with the SCO System V environment are eligible to
apply for the programs.  To apply, you must complete an SCO Developers Program
application and submit the applicable fees.  These programs are currently
available for the U.S.  and Canada only.  Listing in the SCO System V
Directory (only) is available to non-domestic developers.
