                                   OSI
                              AVAILABLE FOR
                          386 UNIX SYSTEM V 3.2

The Wollongong Group, Inc. is now shipping two new members
of its WIN/OSI (Wollongong Integrated Networking/Open
Systems Interconnection) product family: WIN/FTAM and
WIN/ULS,   for   SV/BSD  (UNIX  System  V/Berkeley  Standard
Distribution).

The WIN/OSI product family is a collection of software
products which provide the functionality of the computer
communication protocols definded by the International
Organization for Standardization (ISO) as well as a simple
means of supporting the transition from the current TCP/IP
(Transmission  Control  Protocol/Internet Protocol) protocol
standards to the future ISO/OSI standards.

                          WIN/ULS

WIN/ULS is an Upper Level Services package which provides
support for the protocols defined in the fifth (Session),
sixth (Presentation), and seventh (Appplication) levels of
the ISO/OSI Reference Model.

WIN/ULS has been designed to support the data transfer
services of either the lower layer OSI protocols or TCP/IP
the protocols. The current release runs on top of The
Wollongong Group's WIN/TCP for 386 STREAMS (Release 3.0.)

WIN/ULS provides the foundation for OSI applications. Using
this package, users can either run standard OSI applications
or develop their own applications to standard OSI
interfaces.

Protocols supported by WIN/ULS include:

   o at the Application Layer, Service Elements which
     support interfaces for application programmers and the
     standard OSI applications:

        - ACSE - Association Contrrol Service  (ISO/IS  8650
          and CCITT X.227),

        - ROSE - Remote Operations Service Element (ISO/IS
          9072/2 and CCITT X.410/229),

        - RTSE - Reliable Transfer Service Element (ISO/IS
          9066/2 and CCITT X.410/228),

        - DSE - Directory Service Element (CCITT X.500);

   o Abstract Syntax Notation One (ASN.1) which provides a
     compiler to  ease  the development of OSI applications;
     ASN.1 conforms to ISO/IS 8824 and 8825 as well as CCITT
     X.208 and X.209;

   o the Presentation Layer conforms to ISO/IS 8823 and
     CCITT X.226;

   o the Session Layer conforms to ISO/IS 8327 and CCITT
     X.225.

                          WIN/FTAM

WIN/FTAM is a package that provides support for the OSI File
Transfer, Access and Management protocol. In addition to
providing file transfer services, this supports such
services as database access and remote file systems.

Both WIN/FTAM and ULS for SV/BSD Release 1.2 operate on
80386 AT class computers running UNIX System V Release 3.2.

The products have been tested with the following UNIX System
V Release 3.2 operating systems:

   o Version 3.2 of Intel UNIX System V 386

   o Interactive Systems' 386/ix, release 2.0

In addition, the products have run in customer sites on
UNIX V/386 3.2 from Bell Technologies and UNIX System V
Release 3.2 from AT&T. WIN/FTAM and ULS for SV/BSD will
very likely run successfully on 386 AT systems with other
implementations of 386 UNIX System V Release 3.2.

List prices for WIN/ULS and WIN/FTAM for SV/BSD are $310
each. A special discount is available which provides
WIN/ULS ($310), WIN/FTAM $(310), and WIN/TCP ($450) for $800
when all three are purchased at the same time. Volume and
Educational discounts are available.

Source code is available. It can be compiled to work on BSD
4.3 UNIX systems as well as systems running AT&T UNIX System
V.
