rosso@sco.uu.net (05/31/89)

April 28, 1988... The Santa Cruz Operation, Inc. is pleased to
announce first customer shipments of SCO Professional Release 2.0
for use on Sun-3 systems running SunOS 3.5 or 4.0. Information
follows:
--------------------------------------------------------------------

SCO Professional offers the best of two worlds: the functionality
of the most popular integrated spreadsheet, graphics, and database
product, and the multiuser and multitasking power of XENIX and UNIX
systems. Specifically it offers functional, macro and file
compatibility with Lotus 1-2-3 Release 2.01, used by millions of
people in all types of computing environments. Anyone who already
knows 1-2-3 can immediately use SCO Professional, including existing
1-2-3 macros or files, without additional training.

SCO Professional Release 2.0 includes support for the SunView window
manager menu. With this menu, users can dynamically resize SCO
Professional windows, enlarging or shrinking them to see larger or
smaller portions of a spreadsheet. SCO Professional windows can
also be moved or condensed into icons to conserve space on the
screen.

SCO Professional Release 2.0 also includes a PostScript driver for
printing worksheets and graphics with the Sun Writer, as well as
support for bit-mapped graphical displays on the Sun-3's
high-resolution, bit-mapped screen.

Note: SCO Professional for the Sun-4 is currently in Engineering
and scheduled to ship in June.
