GRI INTRODUCES AN AFFORDABLE LARGE FORMAT PEN
PLOTTER FOR THE DESKTOP CAD MARKET

FREMONT, CA (May 1, 1989) -- The GRI ProPlotter, a C and D-size pen
plotter designed and priced for the desktop CAD user, is available from
Gerard Research Inc. (GRI) of Fremont, California. Targeted for the
user of AutoCAD and other IBM and Macintosh based CAD and drafting
applications, the GRI ProPlotter is affordable for the single user of
small engineering or architectural firm. The ProPlotter is
economically priced at $1,995 suggested retail.

The ProPlotter's maximum drawing area is 22" x 34". The
ProPlotter can use a variety of plotting media including ordinary
bond, vellum and mylar film, with a choice of pen types and point
sizes.

Pen speed is set at 7 inches-per-second maximum which produces
drawings with consistent quality without the necessity for the
operator to select and adjust pen speeds to match different pen and
media types. The ProPlotter features a proprietary DualTrack paper
pressure design that utilizes double sets of paper pressure rollers to
maintain precise paper alignment for maximum accuracy. The ProPlotter
is compatible with the Houston Instrument DMP plotters command sets as
well as IBM PC, XT, AT and Macintosh personal computers.
