Nowadays computer viruses have become a big problem in many companies, government departments and schools. The number of viruses keeps growing and growing and anyone who has to work on a PC is afraid of an infection from one of these all-damaging computer viruses. This fear has generated a number of vaccine and protector programs. VIRUS WATCHDOG II is one of them that sells for a moderate price and performs well. It is currently distributed in Austria and Switzerland, and we are searching for distributors all over the world. VIRUS WATCHDOG II maintains a list of file length, modification date and checksum of all .SYS, .COM and .EXE files of a given directory tree. It also does a checksum test of the boot sector of the current drive, has the ability to add files of other paths and is distributed with a manual describing how to proceed in case of detection of a virus. Both a small .COM and .EXE file are on the delivered diskette to support the user with the pos- sibility of detecting wether he is already infected. VIRUS WATCHDOG II should be started in AUTOEXEC.BAT; a check of a 20 Mbyte Disk takes approximately 15 seconds. The program is copy- protected and each diskette has three installations. You could remove an existing installation by saving it on the original diskette. The relationship between price and performace is excellent: the diskette and the operating instructions should sell for ap- proximately US $50.-. We deliver packages of 100 pieces at about US $25.- per diskette.
