[comp.newprod] ** From Source Code Control to Change Management **

gmw@ist.CO.UK (Gary Wilson) (08/22/89)

UNIX source code control systems such as SCCS and RCS
are of proven value but don't provide adequate control or coordination
over changes made to any significant software system. Using the new
Change Control Tool (CCT) from Imperial Software Technology Ltd.
U.K., you get the following immediate benefits:

	- full visibility of maintenance effort.
	- can be integrated with SCCS, RCS, etc.
	- controlled access and full accountability of changes.
	- configurable to suit your organization's product's.
	- automatic communications via e-mail.
	- full on-line and hard-copy reporting facilities.

The CCT has proved its worth to many software engineers
and managers. Current customers include Motorola U.S.,
British Telecom, Plessey and, of course, is used by IST itself.
Customer reference sites are available.

The first 25 requests for evaluation copies of the CCT
will be charged at distribution cost only. The CCT is available on Sun
workstations running SunOs 3.X and SunOs 4.X. Enquiries about the CCT
running on other UNIX machines are welcomed.

If you are interested in the CCT, please contact me, Gary Wilson,
