PolarServ is a public-access unix system that features usenet, mail feeds for individual machines & multiuser games, as well as several hundred megabytes of archives. PolarServ can be reached via a local call from Seattle or Tacoma or any of the suburbs of either city, and has a yearly flat-rate for news patrons that can't really be beaten by any other system. $30 a year gets you a read-and-postnews capable account with shell access.
