SARATOGA INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF ITS CROSSPOINT (r) VISUAL SHELL - XP - ON DIGITAL'S DECstation 3100 and DECstation 2100 WORKSTATIONS SARATOGA, CA, -- Saratoga Information Systems CrossPoint Visual Shell now supports Digital's RISC-based DECstation 3100 and 2100 workstations, and will soon be available on the DECsystem 3100, 5400, and 5800. XP is a visual shell, featuring extended facilities for manipulating files, over 50 built in "hot key" commands, user definable hot heys, command line interface to ULTRIX , command line history, context sensitive help, two visual interfaces - including a hierarchichal tree, file content searching ability, and a file and directory LocAid(tm). XP also offers a scrolling menu interface, as well as the "hot key" interface. Currently being used by a large financial organization transitioning to the UNIX world, and by product managers in several UNIX software houses.
