SARATOGA INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF ITS CROSSPOINT
CONFERENCING SYSTEM - XPCS ON DIGITAL'S DECstation 3100 and
DECstation 2100 WORKSTATIONS

SARATOGA, CA, -- Saratoga Information Systems CrossPoint Conferencing
System now supports Digital's RISC-based DECstation 3100 and 2100
workstations, and will soon be available on the DECsystem 3100,
5400, and 5800.

XPCS is a high end conferencing system featuring multi-host
configurability, multiple independent conferences on a single machine,
network or local moderation of conferences, multiple protocol
downloading, e-mail, automated backup and maintenance, and C2 security
compliance. Currently in use by magazines, customer support
organizations, and in the Federal Government.

According to Richard Karasik, president of Saratoga Information Systems,
"The DECstation and DECsystem family provide an ideal cost effective
environment for a conferencing system. With a DECsystem, or a network of
DECstations, a university department, or a group of lawyers can maintain
private as well as public information banks on topics of interest to
whole departments, or just small groups of people within a department.
This is proving to be a much more effective way of sharing information
than shuffling paper around, and perhaps getting a copy of a copy -three
weeks late -if someone even remembers to put you on the distribution
list -and can find your in basket."

XPCS is one of a series of CrossPoint Precision Tools being
developed and ported to Digital's ULTRIX-based DECstations and
DECsystems by Saratoga Information Systems.

Prices for XP range from $700.00 for a single user configuration to
$25,000.00 for a 128 user configuration. Government and educational
discounts are available, as well as site licensing. For more
