Did you ever want to add serial ports to your "non-expandible" workstation without having to use network protocols such as TCP to access them? The SLAT can be ordered in 2 configurations: SL41-1 4 RS232 serial, 1 Centronics parallel $900 SL81-1 8 RS232 serial, 1 Centronics parallel $1600 Host software media, documentation, and a license costs $75. Only a single software license is needed per site. Various SCSI cables are available for $85 each. The serial ports use RJ45 connectors. The parallel port uses a DB25 connector.
