A new local access to Usenet and Netnews has been set up in New Jersey.
For the cost of a phone call and a small monthly fee you will be able to
receive a full news feed from this new system. The system is based in
Roselle Park, NJ, and has connections to both UUNET and Rutgers
University.

This system connects with UUNET several times a day, and connects with
Rutgers at least two times a day. All mail is routed via UUNET, and
news feeds are obtained from both UUNET and Rutgers.

The monthly fee is a flat rate, and will not be based on connect time.
Limited archives are kept on the system, and will be expanded as disk
space permits. The UUNET archives will be available indirectly, by
contacting the system administrator and requesting files to be queued
up.

The monthly fee is based on the type of modem available. For those
sites that have Telebit Trailblazer+'s the fee is $ 40 per month, paid
quarterly. Sites that have 2400 baud modems will have a fee of $ 100
per month, again paid quarterly. This fee schedule is designed to
support the use of the Telebits, since the connect time will be less
than 1/4 the time of a 2400 baud modem.
