[net.works] sticky mice

It sounds to me like Pat Suppes just needs to get his mouse cleaned.
There's probably lint, dust and oil inside gumming up the ball bearings.
Look at the back and see if you notice any sticking out. A clean mouse
never sticks or slides. Typically, mice need to be cleaned at least once
a year, sometimes every two or three months, depending on the dust and
lint level in the local environment. (Rolling the mouse on cardboard or
paper instead of plastic greatly increases lint accumulation. Letting
donut crumbs drop onto one's desk doesn't help either.) It is easy to
clean a mouse, all you need is a tiny allen key to take the back off,
and some alcohol and a lint-free rag to clean it with.
