RE: New release of Sculptor 4GL + SQL provides OBJECT CODE compatibility
of applications and new features to over 100 computer/OS combinations.
MPD International Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Sculptor 4GL +
SQL, Version 2.0. Version 2.0 is a major upgrade to MPD's previous version
1.16 of Sculptor, a complete fourth generation development environment. This
latest release is the result of an 18 month development project conducted by
the parent company of MPD International Inc., MPD Ltd.(Microprocessor
Developments Limited), located in London, England.
Sculptor 4GL + SQL is of particular interest to developers wishing to port
their applications to various computer platforms. Sculptor applications, once
written, can be transported to any one of over 100 machine/operating system
combinations without recompiling the code. Sculptor data files are also 100%
portable between computers without modification. Sculptor 4GL + SQL is
available on MS-DOS, XENIX, UNIX, QNX, OS9, and many others.
The new version is a blend of enhancements and completely new features. In
particular, special attention has been paid to the means of editing and
modifying. Many features are presented with full-screen editing, on-screen
help facilities, and pop-up/drop-down & overlay windows.

New Programs:
The Screen Painter allows movement of fields and variables within Sculptor
screen form programs. New fields may be added from data files or temporary
variables. Adjustments may also be made to the scroll area, the screen form
title and the field delimiters used. Changes are saved directly to the source
file.
The Preprocessor features include the use of "include" files, macro
substitutions, conditional compilations, and a comphrehensive set of program
flow control statements. Multiple screen form and report files may be compiled
with a single command.
Note: Compatibility is retained.
Sculptor 2.0 will run vs. 1.16 programs and read it's data files
without modification. Provided with in Version 2.0 is a conversion
utility for vs. 1.14 programs and data files.
Sculptor Training Courses:
Training courses are available for beginning and advanced Sculptor programmers
to assist in the quick incorporation of the new features with in Version 2.0.
These courses are available at the customer's site or at MPD International
Inc.'s headquarters or at Comspec Communications Inc. headquarters upon the
request of the client.
Sculptor 4GL + SQL Pricing:
Prices for a complete Sculptor development system including SQL starts at $795
U.S. / $955 Cdn. for an MSDOS based system ($245 U.S. / $295 Cdn. for run time
module only). Sculptor 4GL is also available for systems from small multi-user
286/386 based systems to large installations well in excess of 128 users. For
