=> FaxJet LaserJet PCL to FAX Converter <= It often seems like every document writer uses a different word pro- cessor or desktop publishing system. That's fine - everyone should use the package they are most confortable and productive with. But how can you improve productivity by letting your users FAX their documents electronically, without having to print them and then wait in line for the FAX machine? Hmmm... all of those word processors and desktop publishers have one thing in common- they can produce output for the most popular laser printer in the world, the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet Series II. There should be a way to electronically FAX that output... There is a way. Use our FaxJet conversion program and our FaxiX UNIX Facsimile system on your network or workstation. FaxJet can convert Hewlett-Packard LaserJet Series II Printer Control Language (PCL) into a format which can be used by our FaxiX software (and other computer based facsimile systems) to send a document in PCL format to a fac- simile machine. Features FaxJet has the following features: o Converts PCL to Tag Image File Format (TIFF), at native (300x300 dots per inch), high resolution facsimile (200x200 DPI) or low resolution facsimile (200x100 DPI) resolutions. o Complete emulation of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet Series II Printer Control Language (PCL). o Compatible with the PCL output of popular word processing and desktop publishing packages, such as Word Perfect, MS Word, Pagemaker, and JetRoff. o Includes the standard Series II internal fonts. o Can be preloaded with soft fonts and/or cartridge font emulations from popular soft font vendors such as HP, Bitstream, Soft Craft, SWFTE, and Digi-fonts. Requirements FaxJet requires that you already have or can get the following: o INTERACTIVE 386/ix 2.x, SCO UNIX 3.2, or UNIX System V/386 Release 3.2 o Soft font equivalents for any cartridge fonts that you want to emulate.
