	IDACOM DELIVERS GOSIP TEST SCRIPTS

GOSIP is the Government Open Systems Interconnection Profile issued
by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in
FIPS146.

After August 1990, Federal agency procurements of X.25 computer
network products must be GOSIP compliant. Every procurement officer
will have to verify that an implementation is GOSIP compliant.

IDACOM Protocol Testers provide means of testing X.25 implementation
for GOSIP compliance. GOSIP specifications are translated directly
into executable test scripts that run on all IDACOM testers. These
testers provide a consistent and simple user-interface to
automatically run the conformance test suites. These testers are used
standard bodies worldwide as official conformance test systems.
(Reference available upon request)

IDACOM's Conform by Design approach to Conformance Testing is a
practical method where the implementation is connected to a tester. A
set of tests called test suites (containing many test cases) are
executed against the implementation. The IDACOM tester then
automatically compares the expected and observed behaviour of the
implementation under test, and assigns a verdict for each test case
and produces a detailed test report.

IDACOM testers provide a uniform platform for development testing in
which functional and performance apspects of a designs can be tested
at each phase of the development cycle. The same testers also
supports other development application especially test script
generation.
