Bedford, July 1 - Digital Press announced publication today of 
the X and Motif Quick Reference Guide, by Randi J. Rost.
 
The X and Motif Quick Reference Guide combines all of the most 
pertinent information from the three major reference works on 
Xlib, X Toolkit Intrinsics, and OSF/Motif libraries into one 
easy-to-use volume.
 
Based on the latest versions of the X Window System software 
(Version 11, Release 4) and OSF/Motif software (Version 1.1), the 
Guide features complete descriptions of 499 Xlib subroutines, and
and macros, 270 X Toolkit Intrinsics routines, 265 Motif 
routines, and all 47 of the Motif widgets. It is conveniently 
organized to allow quick and easy look up of any routine or data 
structure.
 
Randi Rost is Principal Engineer in the Workstation Systems 
Engineering group of Digital Equipment Corporation. He received a 
B.S. in computer science and mathematics from Mankato (MN) State 
University and a M.S. in Computing Science from the University of 
California at Davis/Livermore. He is one of the chief architects 
of PEX, the first major extension to the X Window System.
 
The text was designed by David Ford and typeset by the author.
