Image-Pro Color
The image processing software that provides 24-bit color and
multi-spectral imaging. Now images can be analyzed, enhanced
and measured in black and white, shades of gray and vivid,
true color.
Using Media Cybernetics' color technology, Image-Pro Color
allows you to perform a variety of operations on true color
images without losing color integrity or creating unwanted
artifacts. Image-Pro Color's full range of operations can be
used in three color models: YIQ used in video and broadcast-
ing; HSI, the standard model for image processing; and RGB,
the hardware standard.
Image-Pro Color gives you full control of your color images
with these versatile features:
- Chromaticity Operations provide a quick, interactive
method to perform photo color correction, hue shifting,
and variation of the depth of color saturation useful
for publishing applications, or any time enhancement is
needed.
- Multiband Segmentation Operations let you perform
separation of objects from background by specifying
ranges of hue, saturation and intensity, thus providing
at least three times the precision of conventional
methods (based on only intensity).
- Channel Processing permits you to perform image
analysis and processing of gray-scale and multiband
images. Individual bands of image data can be
extracted, analyzed and processed then the resulting
information can be merged back into the whole image.
You can extract any channel in any color model (HST,
RGB, YIQ).
- Analysis features including the histogram of points,
lines or areas of interest are useful aids for deciding
what processing functions will give the best results
and as a means of post processing evaluation of images.
The histogram information is presented on the display
in a graphical format and numeric information which
comprises the histogram can be saved and printed.
- Operations such as compositing, posterization, replica-
tion, mathematical and logical functions can be per-
formed between channels of image data and also between
two images. Other operations include four-point warp-
ing, rotation, bilinear scaling, and 24- to 8-bit color
compression.
- Scanning of large images at full scanner resolution
even if image size is larger than the display memory
size. Analysis and processing is performed on the
display image.
- TIFF and TGA file formats
- PAL (European standards), NTSC, RS-170 cameras
- Multiple resolution configurations up to 1024 x 768
- A wide range of hardware is supported including video
digitizers, locator devices, and high resolution output
devices.
