POWERFUL 80386-BASED PERSONAL COMPUTERS ANNOUNCED BY DELL COMPUTER --Company introduces first 33-megahertz 386-based PC; prices lower than Dell's current 25-megahertz PC AUSTIN, TEXAS, August 31, 1990 -- DellTM Computer Corporation (NASDAQ:DELL) today expanded its 80386-based personal computer product line by announcing a 25-megahertz PC, and its first 33- megahertz, 80386-based PC. Prices for the Dell SystemR 325D and System 333D are respectively $900 and $300 lower than the Dell System 325, a 25-megahertz, 80386-based PC. Both systems are encased in the company's new smaller chassis (16 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 6.0 inches high) that is ergonomically designed, fully integrated to support high performance VGA graphics and hard drive and floppy drive controllers. The chassis also features SmartVuTM, a Dell- developed diagnostics display located on the front of the computer.
