Reston, VA, October 2, 1990 - Martin L. Schoffstall, Vice President
& Chief Operating Officer, Performance Systems International, Inc. (PSI),
today announced that PSI's national network (PSINet) will provide TCP/IP
packet access on a dialup basis. "The need for on-demand internetworking
using TCP/IP and OSI technology on a national and international basis is
growing. With high speed modems, increasing availability of ISDN, and
laptop computer proliferation, bringing the network to the individual
instead of the reverse is now mandatory."

This service will minimally address the growing number of individual
consultants needing full Internet access from their PC's as well as
organizations looking to broaden their participation in the Internet to
include more than electronic mail. It offers a simple, inexpensive solution
to the large "telecommuting" work force that requires robust access to their
client/employer computer networks.

PSI will eventually provide this Dialup Connection Service (DCS)
in 60 metropolitan locations which were announced last week. DCS is
available immediately in Albany, NY, Boston, MA, New York City,
Santa Clara, CA and Washington, D.C.

Using local telephone numbers and V.32/V.42 modem technology, as well
as X.25 for International access, a flat monthly fee of $250 allows an
individual or organization full participation in the global Internet of
over 2,500 organizations and fifty million individuals.

PSI is a value-added internetworking and information services provider
headquartered in Reston, Virginia.
