Richard Zuanich of Tyecin Systems asked me to post this since they
aren't on the net. Please contact him at the address/number below.

ManSim is a discrete event simulation tool developed for use by
production planners, factory directors, manufacturing operations
managers, and others responsible for planning and managing
manufacturing facilities. With ManSim, a factory is defined (process
steps, equipment, etc.) and months of operations are simulated in
seconds.

ManSim is extremely flexible and easy to use. It provides an
understanding of the effects of different factory layouts, equipment
reliability, product mix, and production strategies. Practical uses
of ManSim include analysis of facility start-up strategies,
justification for new capital expenditures, and providing speedy
answers to "what if" questions to assist decision making.

UNIX (TM) platforms supported:

    Sun-3, Sun-4, Sun386i, SPARC
    DEC ULTRIX (TM)
    HP 8000
    386 based PCs running UNIX
    Apple AU/X

The manufacturer will consider porting ManSim to any UNIX system.
