MacWorld Expo 1991, S.F. Calif., January 10, 1991, Marty's Computer Workshop of Cambridge, Massachusetts announces the Wrist Pad[tm] Plus, an innovative, portable wrist rest that provides support and comfort for computer keyboard users, while allowing efficient freedom of movement. The Wrist Pad Plus consists of a Maple Hardwood or Clear Acrylic base with a fabric-coated neoprene top. The base provides a stable surface for typing while the fabric-coated foam top surface allows hands to move quickly and smoothly over the surface of the rest. Developed in conjunction with a Physical Therapist, the Wrist Pad Plus is designed for people who want to avoid poor wrist posture, which can lead to repetitive stress injuries (RSI) such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). When used as part of an ergonomically correct work area, the Wrist Pad Plus allows the keyboard user to keep a healthier wrist angle and reduce stress to wrist tendons. The result is better comfort and higher typing efficiency. Marty's Computer Workshop introduced the Wrist Pad Plus at MacWorld Expo 1991, San Francisco, a major expostion of leading edge personal computer software, hardware, and peripherals. The Wrist Pad Plus retails for $24.95 to $29.95 depending on options, and is available immediately.
