ClariNet Communications Corp., the Electronic Newspaper for the Unix community, announces that NewsBytes computer and telecommunications news is now available on a daily basis. Newsbytes has significantly upgraded its service, and now provides approximately 30 new stories on computers, telecommunications and electronics every business day. Newsbytes can be subscribed to on its own, or as part of the package of all ClariNet products. It is delivered in USENET format, as 9 USENET style groups covering IBM, Apple/Mac, Unix, General, Trends, Telecom, Business, Government and product reviews. A new group, clari.nb.top, has been created for crosspostings of stories rated as "major" by Newsbytes editors. Some ClariNet prices have changed. Newsbytes' price has increased significantly with the improved service. Other products have undergone slight price increases with the new year. The price of syndicated features had been reduced. Dave Barry and other columns are now available via Newsgroup or E-mail for $9.95/year or less. Educational Prices: ClariNet offers a special educational package. A full site-wide licence is available for educational institutions based on full-time enrollment. If the material is to be used in research or education, it can be sent via NNTP over the internet.
