[comp.newprod] Hardware-assisted 386 Debugger

doug@syssoft.com (Doug Salot) (02/26/91)

Systems & Software, Inc. announces PCsteam, a hardware-assisted 386
debugger for Microsoft Windows 3.0, MS-DOS and DOS extenders.

PCsteam enhances CodeView for Windows and the MetaWare debugger, a
multi-window application and system-level debugger for MS-DOS and
386 DOS extenders.

Use the power of eight REAL-TIME EVENT monitors to detect a read, write,
fetch, input, or output of data to an address or ADDRESS RANGE. Events
can enable, disable, or qualify trace information, enable or disable
timers, or break program execution.

Browse REAL-TIME BUS-LEVEL TRACE information to follow the execution
path of your program without time-consuming single-stepping. You can
even see all the values read and written to your variables.

Analyze the performance of your program with two high-resolution 32-BIT
TIMERS. PCsteam also gives you the ability to trigger on EXTERNAL EVENTS
and provides an external BREAKOUT SWITCH.
