Morning Star Technologies is pleased to announce the availability of serial port X.25 for NeXT systems. Features- - Fully DDN compliant and certified - Conforms to CCITT 1980, 1984 and 1988 Recommendations X.25, X.28, X.29, X.3 and Internet RFC 877 - Supports synchronous line speeds up to 38,400 using only the NeXT serial port and a modem - Socket level interface is source code compatible with SunLink(tm) X.25 Version 6.0 - Serial ports are independently configurable, second port can be used for additional X.25 or asynchronous support - Supports packet sizes up to 4096 octets (bytes) - Most parameters are reconfigurable without restarting - Trace facility for diagnosis of X.25 communications problems - Supports automatic routing of outbound calls to the appropriate line - Flexible authorization file regulates X.25 and IP traffic - Extremely flexible IP and Virtual Circuit configuration interface The X.25 product operates on the NeXTstation 68040 platform using either the A, B or both serial ports. Using the NeXTstation as a gateway, LAN based IP traffic can be routed through the appropriate communication line to one or more X.25 public data networks.
