C Library Reference for UNIX System V Release 4 (with ANSI C) C library functions and system calls for UNIX System V, Release 4 have been summarized in a new 72-page pocket reference. Specialized Systems Consultants, Inc. (SSC) announces the publication of the C Library Reference for UNIX System V Release 4 (with ANSI C). In addition to the functions of the Release 3 library, the Release 4 library offers new system calls for virtual file system support, networked systems, multiple processor support, and the programmable process scheduler. In the reference, ANSI prototypes are used to illustrate the calling conventions of the functions. Functions that are part of the ANSI standard library are flagged, as an added feature to help programmers write portable code. This new reference complements SSC's ANSI C card to provide complete documentation on both the ANSI C language and library. The reference is priced at $8 and will be available May 1, 1991.
